I was waiting for FMC vs The Bowl Cut Guy since the very beginning of episode as shown in OP. Really disappointed that we will never see that scene gets animated. The show is wholesome but the plot and anime doesn't appeal to be popular.

I think I understand what's going on here. This entire thing is a prequel to the gacha game. That person that shows up in the end is most likely the Listener, the same person the Knights were trying to find at that other castle that looks like a copy of Ashlam Academy. And I'm guessing the Listener is supposed to be the game's player character.

A bit disappointed that the Pentagrams and the Knights never ended up interacting but this was still a fascinating show. I hope they'll announce a release date for the English version of the game though because I am really curious about what the main story is

OK, I'm just gonna say it, IDK what the plot is, IK it's based off a game. But I couldn't tell you what it is. It's like the anime doesn't know what it wants to be, whether a CGDCT anime in a fantasy setting, or a dark fantasy setting with the warnings. Overall the story is way undercooked. The Re:Zero character designs are nice, but that's really the only positive. The characters I like but unfortunately nobody stood out.

Overall, the show's fine, it's inoffensive and a competent anime, but either this is a show that HAD an idea but got lost somewhere, or this is one of those shows that shouldn't have been made to begin with.
Final Verdict: 5/10

Seriously i don't know what the whole show was all about. It keep switching between wholesome and warning life. I know it's relevant somehow but it keeps switching around. I was waiting for FMC vs the bowl cut guy as shown in the OP. I'm really disappointed annoying with this because i was waiting since episode 1. Nonetheless, it's pretty much a wholesome show for some stress relieve with cute girls and women. I would give it 6 to 6.5 out of 10 for animation and wholesomeness.

The worst part? Like Yurei Deco, this HAD potential to be one of the best anime this season.

Guys, the next LIDENFILMS anime this fall is 'My Master Has No Tail' and 'Eternal Boys'.

Priconne is great, but people tend to forget that Steins;Gate is technically also a game (VN) adaptation. :p

There are quite a few incredible VN adaptations, but I don't really count those in the same way I do these gacha game tie-ins. They're in a whole other league.

How do I say it. The main plot of this show feel.....aimless lol. Like thing happen. They really stick to the SoL thingy. This was cute and relaxing show. But being too relaxing can be bit boring I say.

This is an advertisment for a mobile game, its whole purpose is to be bait

Really? It just feels like....an ad, slotted in the middle of a normal SOL anime...like...I don't see the relations between the two at all, other than the opening....if it weren't for the opening, I'd have seen it as two different anime in the same slot altogether...

It didn't bait me to play the game. At all.

Several gacha game tie-in anime have tempted me, but this one? Not even close. Not from episode 1, nor episode 12, nor anywhere in between did I ever want to play... whatever game this is.

Don't get me wrong, I love slice of life anime, and I enjoyed this show well enough... but nothing here advertised any sort of game I would care to spend time - let alone money - on playing.

At least they had the "Warning" parts…

C'mon, they could at least explain what the connection between the shadows and the Magic place/people is. Like it's super enjoyable but they built up so much expectation with the evil Knights slaughtering peeps all day and nothing came from it. Which is very disappointing.
Also, I am sure Abra's earring moved or she had two and lost one.

This came in wholesome kawaii with frightening shiver's with two sides and came out with utter confusion (o_O)!!!.
Best part is with cute girl sniffing everything with cowlick hair.

I absolutely loved Kuno-chan and the opening, that one was excellent, but overall, we didn't have much of a plot here.
No meeting with knights, do they plan S2 for this?
But the transition between scenes was pretty well done this episode.
Pretty smooth without the warnings, you would think they really are meant to meet.

But this did affirm that I do feel that adding milk to the tea is very weird.

Starting to feel like we're watching a long, drawn out tragedy or some kind of ill snuff film.
Getting tired of not knowing WTF is going on.
EDIT: So, we got played??? WTF. I don't like it. Stupid warnings had no point, or are we supposed to mourn the dead over there? Are they villains or heroes? WTF????

The "knights" are after The Listener... who is you. Yes, YOU, DesuYoda... if you play the game. The Listener is the player character, these adorable girls are probably your (really terrible Commons and maybe a Rare) starting group, while all the girls in the background are the Super Rares and Mega Rares and Ultra Rares and Super Mega Ultra+++ Rares that you have to pay out the ass for to get to drop from the gacha.

In that respect, all those dudes are the bad guys, because they're trying to stop you from... uhh... making a relaxing slice of life harem of cute "magic" users? >_> I don't know. I'm sure there's some BS in the game story.

But yeah, while this was an enjoyable slice of life... for the most part... it was a really terrible and meandering advertisement for the game.
